Alice Abbott

Alice is currently working as a freelance professional ballet dancer. Alice studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she achieved her BA in Modern Ballet, and since graduating, has danced with Ballet de Barcelona, Ukrainian Classical Ballet and taken part in smaller creative projects. As a dancer who has experienced the difficulties of trying to overcome RED-D, she is passionate about spreading awareness of the condition and trying to help educate people about how to both prevent and recover from it. She hopes to be a voice that resonates with dancers who are struggling with their symptoms and wishes to benefit others by giving them the strength to overcome RED-D, whilst continuing to have a career in the ballet industry.

Clara Superfine

Clara Superfine is an Amsterdam based researcher in dance, social safety and sustainable careers in the arts & cultural sectors. Born in North Carolina, she received her ballet training at the UNC School of the Arts, continuing on with the American Ballet Theatre JKO School and Studio Company in New York City. Afterwards, Clara moved to the Netherlands to join Dutch National Ballet. Her passion for empowering artists led Clara to co-found Dancers Amplified, a global collective developing best practices for an anti-racist and equitable future in the concert dance field. She also co-organized the Bodily Autonomy & Integrity Cohort, which is researching the possibilities for self advocacy within the collective body. She is currently working with The Dance Safe Alliance (Alliantie Dans Veilig), a project funded by the Dutch government to make dance socially safer across all levels and forms. Alongside her professional work, Clara is pursuing a Master’s degree in Arts & Cultural Enterprise at The University of Arts London.

Jenna Roberts

Australian born Jenna Roberts’s career spanned 15yrs dancing professionally as a Principal in the UK. Jenna trained at the Marie Walton-Mahon Dance Academy. She then joined The Royal Ballet school in 2001 on a full scholarship where she studied for 3yrs. In 2003 Jenna then joined The Birmingham Royal Ballet where she reached the rank of Principal dancer. Jenna has danced numerous ballets on stages all over the world. Jenna retired from ballet in 2018 and went on to study pilates with Alan Herdman, She then went on to teach at pilates studios and opened her own studio in London where her clientele included members of The Royal family. Jenna is currently working for Progressing Ballet Technique, an exercise based program that helps dancers rehabilitate from injuries and in injury prevention.
