The Project

Why it matters, and how we’re creating change.

Awareness

RED‑D is often invisible — masked by performance, costumes, busy schedules and culture. It thrives in silence. By educating dancers, parents, teachers, coaches, and healthcare teams, we help the dance world recognise the signs, ask better questions, and shift the narrative toward health over appearance.

The Project

Prevention

Knowledge is power — but only if it reaches the right people.

We equip dancers, families, educators, and institutions with the tools to spot early warning signs and respond with care.

Through accessible education and community storytelling, we promote body literacy, challenge harmful norms, and encourage environments where dancers are fuelled, not just physically — but emotionally and artistically.

Support

Project RED‑D delivers practical, evidence-based support to help dancers and their communities take action.

Our work includes:

  • Training for dancers, teachers, and healthcare teams

  • Guidance on fuelling, recovery, and sustainable performance

  • Resources for identifying and managing RED‑D

  • Workshops for schools and companies

This is about protecting careers, preserving passion, and building systems that put health first.

Change

We’re here to drive long-term, systemic change in dance.

Through education, collaboration, and culture shift, we aim to rewrite the expectations placed on dancers. Together, we’ll dismantle old narratives and replace them with ones rooted in respect, care, and knowledge.

Because real performance starts with real health.
